What is simplecall?

simplecall is a simple and easy way to make high-quality, affordable national and international calls from your mobile, landline or PC. By creating an account and registering your phone number(s), you can use simplecall without using PINs or access numbers.

How does simplecall work?

Registration for a simplecall account is free and only takes a few minutes. Remember that you'll have to add credit to your account after registering so that you can easily make low cost international calls with your mobile device, landline or PC.

Once registered and topped up, it's as simple as dialling the local access number for your area, followed by your loved one's number and the # key. Your call is immediately connected so you can start talking rather than spending all your time dialling like you might with an international calling card.

How do I sign up for simplecall?

The quickest way to sign up to for simplecall is through our online registration form. The straightforward process only takes a minute so you can start making international calls in no time!

How much does simplecall cost?

Registering for simplecall is FREE.

You add credit to your account and are only charged for minutes used – you will NEVER get hidden fees or connection charges like you do with some international phone calling cards. Your per minute rate for your call depends on your call destination. Our rates are always up-to-date and displayed on our site, so please feel free to check out our rates at any time.

What are your rates?

simplecall posts a detailed and current list of rates on our rates page. Keep in mind that the summarised rates can differ from the detailed rates. Summarised rates are where our rates start from for a certain country, but in some cases you must check out the detailed rates to check the specific rate for the area you are calling. We suggest always double-checking on our site the area you are calling so you are fully aware of what you'll be charged.

And remember, the rates you see are the rates you pay. No hidden costs or surprise charges.

Are there any connection charges with simplecall?

Unlike with lots of phone cards on the market, with simplecall, you will never pay a connection fee to any call destination. If you're looking to make international calls without any hidden fees, the answer is simplecall.

Payment and accounts
How can I make a payment or "top up"?
  • Online — Via PayPal, Moneybookers, debit or credit card
  • Call Customer Support — Before you call, make sure you have the correct details in hand. You will need your debit or credit card, including the long number across the front of the card, the expiry date, start date, card issue number and the card's security code (found on the back of the card).
  • Cash at any Payzone, PayPoint orany of our London-based stores.
I topped up but my account balance has not changed.

Your simplecall balance will be updated within 2-5 minutes if you have topped up online. It can take up to 24 hours to update if you topped up with cash using a PayPoint card. Your online account will reflect the update the moment it happens, so log into your account to monitor your credit so you can start enjoying cheap calls as soon as it goes through.

How can I top up using PayPal?

When using PayPal, always be sure that you select the ‘Purchase’ tab when making your payment. This means you are paying for goods and services, rather than sending money to a friend or family member. We are unable to provide any refunds or other forms of protection for your account if you select ‘Personal,’ so to avoid any issues in processing, always double check that you have the ‘Purchase’ tab selected.

Why was my credit/debit card refused?

Our dedicated customer service team should be calling you to help troubleshoot so you can get back callingright away. You could also try re-submitting your request using a different card. For details on why your card was refused, you must contact your card issuer.

What is my current account balance?

Normally, when you buy calling card, it's difficult to know how much time or credit you have left. At simplecall, we wanted to make sure you always had access to your credit and call history so you can call international worry-free. All you have to do is login to your simplecall account to view your current balance. You can also dial a local access number from your registered phone to hear your balance. Even the best international calling cardsdon't offer that kind of service!

Will my call credit expire if I don't use it?

We want to keep you connected on your schedule, not ours. That's why your minutes will be good for up to one full year. If your account is inactive for more than one year, your credit will expire. If you don't think you'll be able to use your credit in the time allowed, we'd added the option to transfer call credit to another simplecall customer.

Will I receive confirmation of my top up?

Yes, you should receive an email confirming that your payment went through, but you can also check your current account balance by signing in to your simplecall account or by calling an access number from your registered phone.

Are there any subscription charges or registration fees?

No. At simplecall, we think international calling shouldn't come with a big price tag. Whether you are calling overseas or just looking for low cost international calls to the country next door, we get you connected simply and conveniently without the hassle or cost of subscription charges or registration fees.

Am I still charged if my call is unanswered or the line is engaged?

No. At simplecall, we think that part of providing the best service is to make sure that you only pay for when you talk. We will never charge you unless you are successfully connected, and promise low rates and top quality once you are.

I think I have been charged too much for a call. What should I do?

First, please check if there are any surcharges imposed by your mobile or landline phone provider. For instance, if you use a pay phone or dial an 0800 number, there is a surcharge.

If you think that a technical error has occurred, please contact simplecall customer support and we will investigate the matter immediately.

How to use simplecall and general questions
Does using simplecall use my free mobile minutes?

All of our access and call directnumbers are local numbers to the region you are calling from, so you will be charged by your mobile provider at your plan's local ratefor calling a local number.

But there's good news! You can avoid using up your local minutes by downloading our free app. Calls on the app are made over a 3G or Wi-Fi connection, so you can save your mobile minutes even when you call internationally on your mobile.

Can I use simplecall from pay phones and non-registered phones?

Yes. You can use the 0800 access number located under get started > access numbers. Please note that surcharges will apply.

If you don't have access to your registered phone but still want to make an international call, you can use our service from a non-registered phone. Simplydial the appropriate access number and use yourPIN, which you can find on your online account.

Do I need a phone to use simplecall?

No! In addition to calling from landlines, mobiles and using our free mobile app, simplecall offers a downloadable PC dialler, so you can make low cost international calls using your Windows-powered PC. Your simplecall account will be debited for the calls just as it would be using a mobile or landline, but you can do so without the need of any phone or telecom provider.

Do you have an app?

Yes, we offer a free mobile phone app for making calls.

Can I use simplecall abroad?

Of course!simplecall provides regional access numbers for more than 40 countries. The list can be found under get started > abroad. Simply select the region you will be travelling to from the pulldown menu and you'll find all relevant access numbers to use so you can continue to make international calls using a local number!

How do I get a PIN?

If you're registered with simplecall, then you already have a PIN. You can view your simplecall PIN by signing into your account and going to the "add phones and PIN" section. You can also contact our customer service and they will be happy to send along your information.

I want my relatives and/or friends to be able to make calls with my call credit. How do I register more phones to my simplecall account?

You can register more phones by signing in to your account online and selecting "add phones and PIN"from the left-side menu.When you add a new phone, you can also opt to create a PIN for the phone, so the new user can make calls from unregistered phones. Please take care with sharing your details with others. As the account holder, you are always responsible for use of the account.

I have forgotten my simplecall ID/password. How do I request a new one?

To request a new simplecall password, go to the log in page and click the "Forgot Your Password?" link. Your ID is your registered number without the country code.

Why can't I connect to my intended destination?

Your destination number may be in a rural area where reception/connection is limited. There can also be technical faults which are out of our control.

Why isn't my local access number working?

simplecall has many different access numbers. If you are unable to connect using one access number, please try another. You can view all available Access Numbers here.

Do I have to use a PIN with simplecall?

No, by registering your phones, you create a PIN-free way to make international callsfrom your simplecall account.

Do you have a referral program?

Bangladesh value bundles
Who is the Bangladesh bundle for?

Any of our registered customers in the UK, US, Canada and Australia. If you are not a registered customer, simply sign up here.

I am a simplecall customer and have enough credit in my account to buy a Bangladesh bundle. Can I use that credit to purchase?

If you would like to use existing balance to purchase a bundle, please call our customer service team on 0280147232

I have more than 1 number registered to my simplecall account. Can all of them be used for the Bangladesh bundle?

Each bundle can be assigned to only 1 of your simplecall numbers. Once assigned, only that number can be used for the bundle. If any other number in your simplecall account is used to make a call using the simplecall service, then your simplecall credit and not the minutes on the bundle will be debited.

How long will one bundle last for?

Each one of the bundles has a 30 day life. After 30 days, that purchase will expire and any minutes remaining will be forfeited.

Once I purchase the plan, how do I make calls to Bangladesh?

Once you have purchased the bundle, you can start using it by making calling in the usual simplecall way. That is done by dialling your local access number, followed by your Bangladesh destination number. Please note, you can only take advantage of the offer from the number in your account that you assigned to the offer.

Can I buy more than 1 bundle at the same time?

We only allow the purchase of 1 offer at a time. Once you have used all the minutes on the bundle, or your bundle has expired, you can purchase another bundle.

Can I make calls to destinations other than Bangladesh whilst I have an active bundle?

Yes. Any calls to destinations outside Bangladesh will be deducted from your remaining simplecall credit per the usual rates and terms. This will be separate from your Bangladesh bundle.

How do I check my bundle usage?

You can see how many minutes you have remaining and when the offer is expiring by logging into you simplecall account by clicking here.

What calls are covered by this bundle?

All mobile and landline calls, apart from premium and special numbers to Bangladesh.

Will I be charged if I use a PIN whilst calling Bangladesh?

PIN users must supply a number to register to their account. Once supplied, all calls utilising the Bangladesh bundle must be made from that number.
