SimpleCall’s Hajj Amateur Photo Contest – Win a Smartphone or iPod and FREE International Calls!

We invite you to share the best photos from your Hajj experience in the SimpleCall Hajj Amateur Photo Contest. Simply post your favourite photo from your 2012 pilgrimage to the SimpleCall Facebook wall, along with a short description. We will award first, second and third-place winners based on creativity, subject matter and technique/skill.

You do NOT need to be a SimpleCall customer to enter! Simply“Like” our Facebook page so you can post your photo – that’s it! And be sure to tell your friends so we can share as many great Hajj photos as possible!

1st Place Prize - iPod Touch OR Ascend G300 Smartphone* + £10 SimpleCall call credit

2nd Place Prize - £20 SimpleCall call credit

3rd Place Prize - £10 SimpleCall call credit

Contest Rules

• The photo may be from any part of your Hajj journey (travel, sites, family, food, etc.), but it must be YOUR photo.
• This is not a design contest — submitted photos should not be doctored using software programs such as Photoshop.
• Photos must be submitted by posting them to the SimpleCall Facebook Wall.
• Submitted photos must include a description that states where and when the photo was taken. You can (and should) add any other interesting information you would like to share, including why the image is special to your journey, and how you came to capture it (e.g., was it set up or a chance snapshot?).
• All photos must be submitted by 30 November, 2012. Late entries will not be considered.
• Only one photo may be submitted per participant.

Contest Terms

Any images submitted may be used by SimpleCall for marketing purposes. By submitting a photo, participants agree to SimpleCall’s use of the photo. Employees of SimpleCall and its parent company, Zamir Telecom, may submit images but are NOT eligible to win.

Judging

Our qualified judges will critique all images based on the below criteria. As you can see, creativity counts. Our main aim is to share these incredible journeys through the eyes of the travellers.

1) Creativity — 50%
2) Subject Matter — 30%
3) Photography Technique / Skill — 20%

Prize Awarding

The winning photographers will be announced via Facebook on 14 December, 2012, with their winning images and descriptions. They will then be contacted privately by SimpleCall with instructions on collecting their respective prize(s).

*First-place winner has choice of an iPod OR a smartphone. If Ascend G300 is unavailable at time of contest end, a smartphone of similar value and quality will be chosen by SimpleCall (prize value not to exceed £150).iPod Touch prize to be 4th Generation, 8GB (or equivalent, not to exceed £150). Entrants must be residents of countries where SimpleCall is available: UK, US, AUS, CAN or EU. Call credit will be given in your country’s currency equivalent
